The Carlyle Group decided to buy Nacka Strand, a suburb near Stockholm, and convert its empty office buildings into apartments. The first step was attracting developers to buy construction permits in the area. To generate local interest in this "new" part of Stockholm, we leveraged Nacka Strand's prime location facing Stockholm's inlet. We used the empty buildings to host the Midwinter Light Up, an interactive music sequencer event, to bring light to the darkest night of the year and highlight the new apartment project.
